The Roaring Brook School PTO would like to welcome all new and returning students and families to Roaring Brook School! For those who may not know: PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization, consisting of parents and teachers working together to support all students. We support school staff, help to connect our community, enrich the educational environment, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through programs, volunteering, and funding. The PTO thrives on continued parental involvement, and we encourage returning families and new families to get involved. We wish everyone another great year at RBS!
STAY CONNECTED: REGISTER OR UPDATE YOUR KONSTELLA ACCOUNT
The RBS PTO community is an active one, offering many volunteer opportunities, family events and after-school activities throughout the school year. We also help support and communicate initiatives led by the RBS Student Council and school administration. To do this in the most effective way possible, we are excited to continue the use of an online communications platform called Konstella for the upcoming school year.
Konstella has transformed the way we communicate within the RBS community – and is THE best way to stay up to date with all PTO and Room Parent-related activities. Note: the PTO will be sending limited paper flyers home with students.
All RBS parents are strongly encouraged to update their classroom(s) or sign-up for Konstella online ASAP, and download the free app to their smartphone. When you are registered on Konstella, it provides:
- A single location for your child/children’s activities, including class announcements, parties, school events, and volunteer sign-ups—plus, you’ll receive the weekly RBS POST!
- A personalized calendar that automatically includes all upcoming activities and sign-ups for your child’s class and RBS. This calendar can be synced to your own personal calendar.
- An online family directory—this is provided for FREE to everyone in our RBS community. If you miss having a printed directory, you may download a pdf through Konstella and print it at your convenience.
- Options to join RBS PTO committees or volunteer for a school/classroom event with just one click!
To ensure you receive communications: Please add konstella.com to your email program’s safe list. Within Konstella you are able to adjust your notifications settings. However, please note: if you turn off your phone and email notifications, you must log-on to Konstella online or via the free app on a regular basis in order to stay connected to all announcements from the RBS PTO and Room Parents.
